Since the 9th of June 2022, marijuana has been completely removed from Thailand’s list of controlled substances. This means that it is legal to grow, cultivate, consume, buy and sell marijuana.

However, there are certain restrictions and limitations to this:

    – Producing marijuana extracts that contain more than 0.2% THC and consuming marijuana in public is still illegal.

    – Sales of marijuana plant parts, products, and edibles are prohibited to minors younger than 20 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

    – Marijuana smoke is considered a public nuisance and thus prohibited in public areas.
